    Default sword wielding units missing something

    I feel like it should be mentioned here that katana swordsmen and well basically all other sword wielding units dont have a sheath for their sword and to me at least makes the unit look naked or like somethings missing...for example bow samurai and yari samurai just look so much better with a sword at its side. does anyone else feel this way? Def could be something to mod into the game in the future

    Its a waste of ingame processing. Otherwise, I agree, if it can be done without providing additional drain, then cool.

    If not, its not that necessary.

    This has been brought up before. While alot of people are quite upset about this, I think the general consensus was that this would be a GPU hog trying to model swords independent of scabbards.

    I think we should keep in mind that as a game that needs to accommodate a wide range of computer specs, CA has to make certain compromises unfortunately

    This is not what I like to hear. I like it when games try to be the best they can be even with the small details.

    Plus I completely disagree that it would be a GPU hog at all. I mean bow and some spear units have swords/sheaths

    So hopefully modders can mod it in. There are those of us that can easily run Shogun 2 with higher details.

    how hard is it to add a scabbard when units have different crests etc on them. a scabbard can be purely cosmetic and just part of the model. i dont see how it would take up any more GPU than anything else in the game.

    Yeah maybe some modder can fix this, seeing as scabbards already exist on certain units.
