It seemed to me that the Sylvan Heavy Swordsman were a bit slow compared to the other top notch Sylvan infantry. So I ran a test.
I created a custom battle. I lined up a Sylvan Heavy Sword Unit, Sylvan Heavy Spear unit, and a Sindar Archer unit. I started the battle and had them all run forward. After a minute the Sindar Archers were well into the lead, then the Spearmen, and finally, well back, the Swordsmen.
This doesn't make sense to me. The Swordsmen and Archers have identical armor and therefore should be approximately equal in speed. In fact, the Archers carry a sword and bow, while the Swordsman only a bow. So an arguement could be made that the Swordsmen should be faster. The Spearmen have identical armor to the other two, but are also carrying a large shield (not to mention a big spear), and therefore should be slower than the other two.
To summarize, if we look at armor and armament, the Swordsmen should be the fastest, then The Bowmen, and finally the Spearmen.
So how come the Swordsmen are the slowest? Am I missing something?
