    Default Master Guild Question

    I have a question regarding captured cities with guilds.

    In my Holy Roman Empire game, I have just went on crusade and captured the castle of Acre. The city has a Master Horse Breeders guild in the city. No city in my empire currently has a Horse Breeders guild.

    I, however, have no intention of keeping Acre. I intend to trade it to Poland in exchange for Stettin. If I were to trade away Acre, would it affect my chances of getting a Master Horse Breeders Guild in a different city (Metz, Bern, etc.)?

    No. If you dont actually own the guild then you can still get it. Or you can destory it to get some money then exchange it.

    You could destroy it but it ruins your chances of ever getting that guild.

    don't destroy it! you'll lose a lot of guild points...which is bad if you still want that guild. Trading it away won't affect it i think though.

    I think that if you destroy it, the most damaging part is for the city itself, not for your empire. Therefore, if you destroy the master horse breeder guild in acre, you'll never get it again in acre, but you might get it in another city, you'll juste have to push harder to get it.

    It takes ages to recover from destroying a guild so I never do it.

    Too bad theres no way to move them from settlement to settlement.

    Ya, it always seems like a waste if I find a masons guils in a rich city like Constantinople or Venice.

    Yea exactly, or you have a swordsmith guild headquarters in castle that gets farther and farther away from your front line. It ends up taking 10 years to transport guys back and forth. Very annoying.

    I know, especially if you need to blitz really fast.Like if I'm the Romans I hate having a Swordsmiths guild in Adrianople or similar place, really anoying.

    I sometimes destroy thieves guild, like yesterday, in my denmark campaign, i destroyed thieves and assassins guild in cologne and frankfurt, and like 10-15 turns later, both now have a merchant guild. It will just take a little longer for me to get a thieve or assassin guild in another city, but not even that guild.
    And if you're recruiting one agent by turn in the city were you want the guild to implement, the malus will be out in 3 turn or so.

    If you count from the beginning how many points you are getting(which is really tough, lol), I think it could work.
