Help please?

I have a problem with reinstalling Rome:Total War, whenever I install it, it goes fine, until after I put in disc 2. It keeps on downloading for a few minutes, then stops and something pops up that says

Feature: Rome Total War

Component: Data

File: D:\data3.cab

Error:Incorrect Function

Can anybody tell me what this means / how to fix it?

Clean the disc real good and check it for scratches, dirt, fingerprints, etc.
