Match made sea battles

Hiya, I've been having a problem when trying to play a match made sea battle on the avatar conquest map; when I get into the pre-battle selection screen, I can choose my units, look at the enemy and his traits etc but I can't actually start the battle. The tick button is greyed out and always says "1 player has used too much money" or something like that, even when niether of us have!

I've noticed that this only happens when I buy a bow ship. Heavy and medium bunes are fine. Now I know the solution is simple: don't bring bow ships, but tbqh I see them as vital in the naval battles for their mobility and the option of setting enemy ships on fire.

Has anyone else had this issue?

I had the issue when it said that a player has an invalid selection of army or something like that. And its quite commonplace when i try to play team matches (more than 1v1). I think this 2 issues are related somehow.

for me this always happens when I buy a heavy bune...medium and bow ships work just fine...

This happened to me in land battles and then I realized my veteran unit in my current army was depleted, but its strange that it just greys out in naval battles.

Well I've tried it again and there is the same problem. The random I was playing said he's had this problem too.

simple work around for small funds naval battle is both of side should take only 4 ship (that include the admiral ship, 1 admiral ship + 3 other ships) I haven't found out about large and medium work around but I think it will be similar use all your money then start to discard the ship till both side can start

on the other noted you can use the cheated version click start then spam ships in wait around and u should go in with full stack of ships

No, not that I would cheat, but one time the 1 min count down began, and nothing happened when it finished. It is annoying as I can not capture navy provinces atm.
