recently i played the champian by playing parthia and later found that the the xxx worriors for parthia that uses swords( forgot name but remember it starts with z or x ) is gone in the champian while its still useable in custome battles . is it my instalasion problem or mod problem ?

also i personally think the buliding time for spartens should also be 0 instead of 1..and should add more attach skill for spartens as its still not very compatable with imperial legionaries..... i heard later in spqr 6.0 the spartens will have sword and spear mods which i think its great thanks LT

Spartans in 6.0 have 0 recruitment time, also their attacks are a tad higher, but their Main bonus is that they never rout, a very useful feature when you think about it.

In order to use Imortals, you will need to have an Imperial Palace, this is the only way to get them in campaign, which makes sense, since they were the Kings Bodyguards. ;-)

The 1 recruit time is there to reflect the eliteness of the Spartans. And I’m also guessing LT made them 1 turn because otherwise Greece would just spam Spartans all the time which would ruin the balance.

Also you should compare stats of different units with different factions. The imperial roman legionnaire is the most elite unit a roman faction can have (until the conquer Roma which means they can get Praetorians!), and they were the finest infantry of the ancient world and the envy of Rome’s enemies. And historically by the time the Romans were the up and coming Mediterranean power the Spartan state was in decline, if you read up on your history books Greece was wanted to become a Roman client state because they didn’t want to be ruled over by Macedon. And I doubt if the Greek city states were not in decline they would have submitted themselves to Roman rule especially the Spartans.

That wouldnt make any sense. lol For one Jews at the times were loyal only to their Country not another power. To have Zealots work with Parthia is like having Hitler recruiting Jewish Soldiers. I just dont think it would happen.

Sword units arent needed for them, I mean the mod isdesigned to play as Rome, if you want a more historical Eastern game play RTR or EB. SPQR is a Roman mod that you can play other factions with if you want, but mt focus is and always will be Rome. Bent the rules already with the sword hoplites, All the nations are NOT suppose to be balanced just like in real life, I cant balance the mod for every faction, so I chose Rome. ;-)
