Iron Maiden

someone like Iron Maiden?? they are the beast heavy metal bando of the world! Up the Irons! , what do you think about them?

I like Iron Maiden but I really think Black Sabbath is better.

I was never really fond of Iron Maiden. I heard they were good and tried to give them a chance, but for some reason I just didn't like them that much. My favorite metal band still remains Metallica. And by Metallica I mean the old Metallica.

Btw Iron Maiden is one of the best bands ever! Run to the hills is their best song in my opinion, though Flight of Icarus comes in as a close second....

Pah, Iron Maiden over Metallica any day! 'The Wicker Man' and 'Aces High' are probably my two favourites, though I love 'Run to the Hills', 'Alexander the Great' and 'Journeyman' aswell! In fact, I love pretty much all their songs!

Dance of death and rainmaker are two of my favorites.

I am a huge fan of them. I cant really say wich song is the best one, i just love them all! but when i think of it, Sign of the cross must be one of their best songs ever.
The guitarr in the ending is unbeatable. But run to the hills is very good too.

I cant understand whats so good with metallica. I listened to them for about three weeks then i grew tired of them and started to listen to Iron maiden

Well I never really liked IM but I do respect them.
They have been at it for 30 years now and still rocking.
I can never really enjoy a full album of theirs. Sure there are 1-2 good songs on it but that's it.
But songs that I like are "Run to the hills", "Hallowed Be Thy Name", "The Number Of The Beast" and "Out Of The Silent Planet".
There are a few more but I don't have the time to list them.

Big Maiden fan, saw them at Reading festival last year, and for a bunch of 40+ year olds, they really give it some. One of the best live shows i've ever seen.
Personal favourite songs would be "Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner", "Fear of the Dark","Evil that men do","Hallowed be thy name","Aces high".... actually, too many to mention.

absolutely detest the song "to tame a land" though. its based on Frank Herberts "Dune" Novels, and i would have expected Steve Harris to be able to come up with a much better song.

well i Think they are better than metallica , Im sure that a lot of you think the same , but a lot of you doesnt think the same , but they are two great metal bands , and what about of friend eddie??? I love him

Up the irons as well! Grew up on Maiden, my favorite Maiden tune changes so often even after all these years. As much as Dickerson rules Dianno is too often over looked as Killers is still one of my favorite Maiden disks. All time favorite is probably Peace of Mind followed by Number of the Beast and Powerslave.

I love Iron Maiden (though I'm kind of new to them. Just picked them up a month or two ago). I'm actually listening to "no more lies" at the moment!

Powerslave rocks !!! They used to be my fav band back in high school ... years and years ago...

Now as I get older .. I lesten to Eminem ..

Hehe as a side note how many people went back after Halford came out of the closest and go doh given the undertone to alot of Priest songs. But yeah Stained Class, Sad Wings of Destiny, British Steel, Point of Entry and Hell Bent for Leather are classics. Never cared too much for the whole Defenders of Faith/Screaming for Vengance stuff and absolutely hated everything after Turbo. Still no comparing the two though, Maiden > Priest by a long shot.

Painkiller is an absolute classic by Judas Priest.

Meh, they got some good songs.
But i think there are far more better bands...
