    Default Demo won't start: crashes PC

    Hi all.

    I've downloaded the demo to ensure that Shogun 2 is playable on my laptop as my spec only barely meets the requirements.

    However, after the game installed I tried running it and after about ten seconds of nothing apparently happening, the mouse pointer locks and my laptop has frozen.

    I've manually booted up my laptop a few times and tried again, with exactly the same result.

    My steam client tells me I have already played 3 minutes of the game, which is just a kick in the teeth, really.

    Any ideas here? I want to get this out of the way as quickly as possible as I'm still to order the actual game and I am eager to play it so I don't wish to miss my 'ordering window'...

    This usually happens when the pc does not meet the minimum requirements ...

    I've never used Steam before downloading the demo. How do I verify game integrity?

    EDIT: Ok, Steam validated the integrity of the cache - everything is apparently fine on that end.

    Any other Ideas?
