Default Selling a broken laptop: value?

My laptop broke down a couple of weeks ago, and I've decided to just sell it in that condition (so the buyer can salvage the components) and buy a new one. I think the motherboard is malfunctioning (doesn't boot anymore), but normally the other components are in good condition. It's a 2,5 year old Asus S96S with the following specs (from a website):

    # Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 2.0GHz Processor w/4MB L2 On-die cache - 800MHz FSB
    # Hard Drive: 120GB SATA 3Gb/s Seagate Momentus 7200.2 Hard Drive at 7,200 RPM
    # Screen: 15.4" WXGA Widescreen (1280 x 800)
    # Graphics: nVIDIA GeForce 8600 GS w/256MB (Up to 1GB w/Turbocache)
    # RAM: 2,048MB (2 SODIMMS) DDR2/667 Dual Channel Memory
    # Optical Drive: Combo Dual Layer SuperMulti DVDRW/CDRW Drive
    # Battery: Smart Li-ion Battery (6-Cell)
    # Wireless: Built-in Intel PRO/Wireless 4965 802.11a/g/n
    # Weight: 6.8lbs
    # Dimensions:14.25" x 10.5" x 1.1~1.5"
    # Ports/Slots: 4 USB 2.0 Ports; IEEE-1394 Firewire Port (VIA - 4 pin); VGA port: 15 pin DDC2b compliant; Mic - in and Headphone - out with S/PDIF ports; S-Video TV output; Kensington Lock support; Built-in memory card reader: xD, Secure Digital (SD/MMC) & MS/MS Pro
    # Webcam: Integrated 2.0 Megapixel Camera

The processor is a different model than the one listed above but has comparable performance. I'm not sure if I'm going to include the HDD when selling it because I might need it, but I will include the adapter and battery. It has some minor cosmetic imperfections due to usage. Would anyone be able to estimate a good asking price when I'm going to sell it? I'm not really interested in selling the components separately.

You want an honest answer? If anyone asks to buy that system minus your HDD then take the deal no matter the price they offer. That's an old system that has little to no resale value even in good condition. Sorry. Good luck!

Your honest answer is appreciated. I know some people pay relatively big bucks for broken laptops because of the separate components which are hard to come by. I already got an offer for 70 €, which is not that bad I think.

for those two highlighted i doubt that a sane person will even make a offer.

Well, think again . I still got 80€ for it from a guy who repairs broken laptops (as in really broken) and resells them abroad for 200-400€. He really knew what he was talking about. Apparantly it's big business.
