Crash after siege-unspecified error
regular SS 6.4., early. English siege of Moor city Zaragoza. During siege, unable to retreat my 4 catapults off the field to bring new units on after ammunition exhausted. Completed battle anyway, and got unspecified error after winning. Last log entries:

Re: Crash after siege-unspecified error
Happened again -running win 7, stainless steel 6.4. English besieging Jerusalem on crusade, defenders sally out to attack the English, English defeat the Saracens and seize the city on the battlefield map. At the end of the battle, unspecified error and game hangs up, have to control manager out to close the program.

Re: Crash after siege-unspecified error
OK, enough is enough, I'm going back to the vanilla MTW2 Stainless steel is too buggy. I just hit 1200 AD and all my cities ability to recruit militia spearmen has disappeared, only archer militia shows up, and my crusader fleet has unlimited movement. Too bad, there were a lot of things I liked about SS, but the frequent crashes take all the fun out of it.

Re: Crash after siege-unspecified error
Win7 here. I just had the same crash/log after a long-ass heroic victory. Stainless Steel always brings me back to playing Medieval II, but then everytime I play I get random crashes. This time it was this victory, now wasted. Last time I tried playing I couldn't even make it past 2 turns before the game would crash. I can't bring myself to play anymore because I don't want to waste my time just to have the game crash. I see people playing the game without crashes, but I don't know what they do to get it to work correctly. I have never played this mod without crashes and game-breaking bugs.

Re: Crash after siege-unspecified error
Well, I came back again and tried it some more. Still have crashes to desktop after battles, but I'm trying to play around them by autocalcing a battle after reloading a saved game if it crashes. The development team put in an awesome amount of work, but it really is too bad that there are so many wild bugs out there. I get the feeling that there may be patches out there somewhere but they aren't easy to find or implement. Does anybody know if there are plans to put out a single consolidated bug fix file or a revision of 6.4, say a 6.4.1?

Re: Crash after siege-unspecified error
stop playing big mods..are always buggy and always make you dissapointed...play vanilla with some mini-mods which can be deleted if they don't work.
