We need you to provide more info than "I can't install - why not?"
How can you solve the problem? Well, that depends - can you describe the problem you're having? Could you please provide any error messages that you're getting? Could you please provide your systems specs via the DXDiag log? Any or all of these pieces of info could help us identify exactly what your problem is.
Here are some starter questions:
- Have you installed R:TW on that system before?
- Have you uninstalled it in the past on that same system?
- Is this a completely new system that you're trying to install the game to for the first time?
- What error message do you get when you try to install?
As you can see we need more info than you've already provided. Otherwise we can't help you - we're not mind readers. Good luck!

Firstly thanks for answering to me.
Ok firstly it prompts a message which is in French and since it isn't my mother-tongue I can't really perfectly translate but it says that I cannot install RTW in this OS 'cause it is incompatible or something like that.
No[*]Have you installed R:TW on that system before?

Yes[*]Is this a completely new system that you're trying to install the game to for the first time?
I'll post the DXDiag next hours and come up with a better translation in the coming hours.
im running it on xp pro 64bit, no problems. I don't know what you are doing wrong.
Just take a screen grab of the error message and throw it up on the forum. Sometimes we can tell by the window alone what's going on. And don't worry about the language - we'll figure it out.

Ok, sorry for not coming out with news but I solved the problem typing on google.
Anyway I'll post here the solution to mine issue so somebody else with the same problem can know how to solve, seems that the older boxed versions of Rome Total War won't launch the installation on a Windows XP x64 OS.
Rome - Total War
Copy all the files off the cd into a folder. Then use this program (http://www.technipages.com/download-...si-editor.html) to edit the .msi of rome total war "Rome - Total War(TM)" look for Launch Conditions open that and delete the whole row that comes up that says ((Not Version9X=400) And (Not VersionNT=400) And (Not VersionNT=502))
Then just save the msi and install from the folder. Also copy all the files from the other cds into that folder!
