I couldn't figure out how to get the colours similar to the existing loading screens, so I just desaturated the images

What do you think of these? Do they work? Also, what do you think of the colour version?

Colour Alternative

Personally, I quite like the coloured one but I might have to change the border a little bit for that.
(and yes, this is the first battle as the Seleucids against the Syrian rebels ).

What do you mean by the frame panel?

The images in the middle will obviously all be changed so they have up to date units, and there will probably be a lot more of them as well. If you mean the top and bottom bit, I think we might have a few alternative colours. I like the style, but some images might work best with a different colour. We might even want to change the title since extended realism has come a long way now. It's probably sufficiently different to warrant something else.

I didn't have a whole lot of ideas for the opening screens. I was thinking of just slapping a big, red, stamp-looking "Extended" over the RTR text. I'm not very artistic.

That is exactly what I was thinking you should do. Ties in to RTR, but makes it clear that there's a difference.

That'll detract from the overall look, though. Besides, we only really need to make that point on the first loading screen. We could change the top text so that it says "Rome: Extended Realism" (or *something*) and then in the corner we can put the RTR badge, or whatever, to show off the roots. After that I think we're good.

Have we discussed this before at all?

NIce pictures I like both versions but coloured one is slightly better and looks more lively

As for how we brand ourselves on them, I was thinking along the lines of what Carados posted.
