So... I've finally unlocked them and tryed to integrate them in my army. First I made a ninja only spam which resulted in a massive defeat, the two grenade volleys inflicted massive damage but it was not enough for the enemy to root, causing my army to be defeated be superior melee infantry.

The questions is, what is the best way to use them in warfare? They are not invisible all the time, only if they dont move, or their cooldown which enables them to be invisible while moving(it takes 3 minutes to reload and holds 20secs).

My tactic is to run from forest to forest and attack the enemy from behind but there is just not enough power...

I tried to use them to sneak around flank with my cav close by for protection.The idea was to maybe cause some havoc on a spear unit guarding the flank opening a door for my cav.The problem is they get spotted way to early(yes i was walking them)The only reason to use them is for there stealth and if that doesnt work then there is just no use for them.

I think there is a retainer that allows you to move your ninja into the opponents starting area. If theres a forest in it, theres some potential.

where do I get this retainer?

Random ofc. Pray to RNG god for that retainer to spawn

For retainers I have seen in the list: Ninja Jonin - allows field of kisho ninjas (unlocked via sake den chain). I don't know if there are any others which improve your ninja further, but then again my tooltext could be wrong as retainer text and MP map text conflict over what the water carrier does

As for unlocking the unit. 3 capture three Sake den building provinces. The first awards shinobi retainer, the second geisha, third is your ninja
