Game crashes when entering battle

Hi everyone. I was searching the internet for a solution to my problem and i came across this forum. I tryed to search this forum to but still i din't see eny answer to my problem.

So i have Napoleon total war on steam and if i play on the campain map everything works fine, but when i try to enter a battle(doesn't mater if it is multy player or single player) my game just crashed when trying to load.

What i have did so far to see if it works:
1) Upgraded my video card drivers, realtek drivers, intel drivers to (i have a m11x)
2) I have used nvidia control panel to use only the nvidia card while playing the game
3) Tried to run the game as administrator
4) I did a reinstalation of the game
5) Tryed on the lowes settings and resolution and also running it on Window mode.
6) Disable the comunity button in steam
7)installed directx 9.0c and C++ 2005 SP1 manually with the UAC disabled

I have totaly run out of ideas of what to do.

What are your Nvidia card/chip specs? they don't show in the dxdiag.

It is a nvidia geforce gt335M
GPU Clock: 450 MHZ
Memory clock 790MHZ
Shader clock 1080MHZ
1gb of memory.

The card seems to be runing when i play the game.(i have checked with the optimus tool). I have no ideea why it doesn't show up in the dxdiag.

Have you tried it on 1024 x 768 monitor resolution, no eyecandy and small unit size?

You can remove them. The bad thing is the next time you log into Steam, it reinstalls them.

Patch5.pack has been causing other problems. Move it to your desktop so the game can't read it, then try it in offline mode.

No luck... I also noticed that even if i remove the pack5 the game version does not change...

The funny thing is before i have bought this game I wanted to see if i can run this game on my laptop and played on a "fix" version of this game and was running with no problems.

I have just noticed that i cannot change some settings like deep of field and other settings. if i put the setiings on automatic it doesn't let me. why is that?

Ok guy i have manage to make the game work and this is what was cosing the problems.

I was allways updating my drivers fron the nvdia website and aperantly the lates drivers weren't warking as they should with this game. All i have done was uninstal the nvidia AND intel drivers and just instaled them from the dell website witch even if they are a bit older they still work fine with this game.

There was a guy with an m11x like mine who was having the exactsame problem. hope he sees this and make his game work to.
