Lost connection error during MP Campaign

Dear forumusers.

Me and a buddy of mine are all into the new Coop-campaign and are enjoying it tremendously. However once in a while the host (my buddy) drops from the game because "the connection to steam has been lost."
h*t happens ofcourse, but here comes the strange part. We are on a LAN. Yesterday evening we played from 19.00 to 00.00 and it happened three times, once convienently right after clicking fight battle (luckily not during a battle).

It saddens me that this bug (dropping due to steamconnection on a LAN) has made it all the way from the ETW coop beta trough napoleon and into shogun. Even worse, we had this error in ETW and NTW while playing in the OFFLINE mode. It didnt matter who hosted. Now I havent tried playing in the offline mode yet in STW2 but I fear for that possible fix too.

Now my question to you all is. Are any of you suffering from this problem and if so, did you find a workaround or fix for this?
