Default Bright Wizards: How they work?

Hi, I'm using this amazing mod, as reikland I received 1 unit of bright wizard, how can I order them to use the fireball or the fire rain? I'm using the flame ammo button but nothing seems to change, they make some animations but don't shoot, I've tried all the combinations between flame ammo and fire at will, are they bugged? I'm using the 1.4.4 version with english translation (the one downloaded with the torrent)

Make sure fire ammo is on and tell them to attack a unit that you don't have anything in the way of.

A handfull of people in the world think they know, but nobody knows for sure, is that what you mean?

Did they change the way Bright Wizards work in 1.4?
Because I never had any problems with them before that.

"The only question that remained was whether the founders knew the final result of their creation, or if they themselves where the victims of a misunderstanding.
In the latter case it was the duty of any thinking human, to press himself into the front of this depraved movement, to perhaps still prevent the extreme, in the former case the founders of this peoples disease must have been true devils; for only in the brain of a monster - not of a human - could the plan for an organisation take meaningfull form, whose purpose must lead toward the end result of a collapse of human culture and thus to the desolation of the world.
In this case only battle remained as a means of final delivery, battle with any weapons that the human mind, intellect and will are able to comprehend, regardless, of whom fate would gift with it's blessing."

My understanding of how Bright Wizards work is that they attend Bright Wizard primary school, then high school, then if they pass the exams for Bright Wizard University they do an undergraduate in Bright Wizardry, which consists of the following modules:

    General Wizardry: the basics
The Winds of Magic: introductory course
The Winds of Magic: specialisation classes
Bright Wizard spells: know your spells, how they work, and how to use them effectively
    History of the Empire
    History of the Old World
Race specific history: optional course with in-depth knowledge offered
Races of the Old World: know your friend, or foe, in battle and elsewhere
Effects of magic on the living: an introductory primer
Effects of magic on the dead: an introductory primer
Battlefirld buffing: it's good to protect your friends, even Elves
Battlefield basics: following orders from non-Wizards, and other etiquette
Battlefield basics: melee fundamentals, how to avoid melee and let others take the fall
Battlefield tactics: timing is everything (especially with a Fireball)
Battlefield tactics: counter-magic and it's uses

Note this is undergraduate level, if said Wizard shows exceptional promise, and is still alive, they can proceed to Masters Level in Bright Wizardry, with the following courses:

Magic Specialisation: be all you can be
Melee advanced tactics: if you really must use a flaming sword
Advanced battle strategy: great battles from history, analysis and methodology
Advanced battle strategy: race-specific battle strategies and how to counter them
Advanced Wizardry Intrigue: essential course on how to advanced to upper-level management of other Wizards, while remaining alive (note this course is always popular so enrol early to avoid disappointment)
Methods of Social Inquiry: now to produce the necessary post-battle analysis, reports and use statistics to justify your next promotion

And finally, if you survive this long, and if you have the inclination, the Bright Wizardry PhD is always an option:

Bright Wizard spells: bigger is almost always better
Melee for Megalomaniacs: two flaming swords are definitely better than one
Magic Specialisation for Advanced users: in-depth focus in offensive and defensive spell casting (note this course has an element of personal danger to it, particularly with regard to the practical element of solo troll-fighting, and the university accepts no responsibility for any injury or death sustained on this course)
1 year in-army placement: this involves your placement, usually with a crusading or besieging army within the Empire, and serves as the final practical test.
Bright Wizard thesis: agreed in partnership with a member of faculty in year one, submitted at the end of the year-placement in year three.

So that, my friend, is the answer to your question of how do Bright Wizards work.

well thanks! now I can plan the courses I want to follow

and I will try that strategy on the tactical map, ok I tried to put them on the front line, is it normal that they use only the fireball? Even If I turn the flame ammo off?

No worries, I'm glad to be of some help. I only know that as my cousin's roommates best friends brother once knew a man who had enrolled in the Bright Wizard College in Altdorf, but then he woke up and it was all a dream...
