    Default Two worthies

    Dear All,

If you had the chance to pick just two men or women out of all who contribute to this particular thread who would they be and why? I have made my choice but reserve the right to hold back until others have announced theirs. So, let's hear you.

You mean that if this thread were limited to two contributors, who I would choose?

SigniferOne and Elfdude, I think. It's a difficult choice though, there's a lot of good people on this forum. I would've picked Strelok had he been more active lately
I have approximate answers and possible beliefs, and different degrees of certainty about different things, but I’m not absolutely sure of anything, and many things I don’t know anything about. But I don’t have to know an answer. I don’t feel frightened by not knowing.

I guess we're supposed to fill that in with our imagination?

A topic of your choosing with your two favourite posters. From my picks you can estimate that I envisioned some sort of religious discussion.

He's not actually specified they have to be TWC members, in which case I choose Charles Darwin, and Carl Sagan.

If I'm choosing current posters, then I'd probably choose elfdude and Gordon Freynman/Comrade Wiggum.

    Ohh, right.

Alright in that case my picks would be, uhm....

    Martin Heidegger and Immanuel Kant.

" A topic of your choosing with your two favourite posters. From my picks you can estimate that I envisioned some sort of religious discussion. "

    The Dude,

For me at least the idea came into my head because I can only imagine what the others look like and because I have to use some imagination from the posts they make it became fascinating that any judgement could be made without really knowing them as one knows their friends.

It is only to be expected that my choices are because of my faith but that doesn't necessarily make the discussion religious. Indeed I could have chosen Oldgamer but I felt that him and me would end up like Barnabas and Paul, falling out over minute details. There is one Muslim guy whose honesty was worthy of consideration, can't remember his name off hand, but I opted not to compromise him.

So my choices are Boofhead who appeals to me as one who would watch your back in any predicament and Helas1 who most likely would be my conscience every time I stepped out of line which I am prone to do at times. To me they are like Peter and John of the Bible both never mincing their words yet both coming from a different angle of the same triangle if one can understand that.

Your choices don't need to be religious at all so it will be good if anyone takes part to wonder at the choices they make and why. I see one or two have started but haven't given a reason why and as that is possibly the most important part it would be interesting should they do so.

    Ferrets54,

Perhaps I am from another planet yet I would have thought the above was explanatory enough. So here I go again. If you could choose two people that are already contributors, posters, on this thread to be your companions who would they be and why?

The Prophet Mohammad and Charlie "Adonis DNA" Sheen. I think there'd be something for everyone. The Sultan of Swing and the Count of Cocaine.

    Difficult question.

I'm trying to think of which two would have the most illicit drugs but honestly there are too many to consider.

Pretty sure this topic is a TOS violation. Other similiar threads have been locked, as well as "Which TWC member should be president" and so forth. Even though it's a positive thread, it's a discussion about other members.
"Every idea is an incitement. It offers itself for belief and if believed it is acted on unless some other belief outweighs it or some failure of energy stifles the movement at its birth. The only difference between the expression of an opinion and an incitement in the narrower sense is the speaker's enthusiasm for the result. Eloquence may set fire to reason." -Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr.
