Default Which faction love to back stab other factions?

Personally, I think the first is Greece. I have been back stab by them three times, and they pay a heavy price each times. The second should be Gaul. Back stab by them two times but every time they don't know how to take the chance, so they pay a price too. Third should be Egypt and Seleucid. These two are brother and enemy, they love to back stab same people in a same time!

Britons, they always stab the backs of the Germans, the Gauls and the Julii when i take most of Europe with the Julii, they invade from their lil stupid island and can potentially cause some serious damage.

They all do. The AI is too simple to keep alliances with the player. Its goal, simply enough, is to destroy the player. Even IF the odds are totally against it's victory.

? Is it? The silly Greek cities had asked cease fire when I was fighting with Carthage, I told them I wanted Thermon and they gave me! Then I become their ally becasue I want to fight the Macedon. After the destory of Macedon, the Greek back stab me! But I just simply send bunch of army to occupy their three cities.

The ultimate backstabbing treaty is becoming a protectorate. The computer will often ask this before attacking one of your cities.
From the pride and arrogance of the Romans nothing is sacred. But the vindictive gods are now at hand. On this spot we must either conquer, or die with glory (Boudiccas Speech, Tacitus, Annals, XIV, 35)

The Germans always turn on me when I play as the Julii; But I would have to say that overall the Greeks betray you, and their computer allies, the most.

British and the Spanish, and the roman factions. I played as Julii and my senator favor was at 1 and my favor with the mob was up all the way. Then a message came saying the wanted the suicid of my factoin leader i would be outlawed. So i do it and next turn the want me to surrender my faction or be outlawed. So then i become outlawed and continue with my war in Germany and i get attacked by the Brutii my strongest allance was then destroyed.

all AI factions will stab you in the back. it doesn't matter.

as soon as you get a border with them they will declare war, even if you're staunch allies

sometimes you don't even need that, sometimes they will just block one of your ports with a bireme, meanwhile you have a massive fleet of quinquerimes right next door.

the AI in this game is laughable, nearly non-existant.

I can't even make the AI do anything smart. a good example is in BI. the hordes are ****ing stupid as hell and just wander around untill they are all depleted, then they can't settle. so I move their stacks to a good spot to settle, pump them full of money. what do they do? wander off into the woods twiddling their thumbs. god I hate the AI.

really it gets old after awhile. I hope the aussies can really pull through with M2:TW on the AI. check the .com there are a few updates, and the devs who post, in one of the updates, notified the fans that they were making a point to improve the AI on the campaign map and battlefield map.

    let's keep our fingers crossed.

Yea, all factions do it mike^_^, but from experience, the factions that backstab you the most are; Egypt, Greece, Carthage, Germania, and Macedonia. And it doesn't matter if they're uber powerful or on the brink of annihilation, they'll always find a reason.

Only once have I maintained an alliance with a shared border for the entire game. As the Seleucids from 280 to 190 BC the Parthians and I shared the east.

Egypt always backstabs me. not matter what faction I am or what our current status is the always have a large army waiting to attack me. Drives me nuts, becasue I have to build up either a good defense force or a strong attacking force (defense is cheaper, but I can lose more than my troops, I can lose my city)

Parthia is the most loyal faction ingame. They almost never betray me. Maybe because they're always so weak.

Macedon, Greece and Gaul always love to backstab you. But Egypt is definetely the "champion" of backstabbing.

Yaya, I agree. That's why everytime when I get a Egypt city, first thing I do is extermine the people! That makes me feel a bit better everytime. And when the final Egypt city is occupied by me, the faction destory message is the best thing I love to see! I always look at the message more than one minute and try to enjoy it!
