vey easy, you search your "scripts" with windows. Inside there is a text named "preferences", when your change the number of the unit multiplier (0.75) to 2 or 3 or 4...It multiplicates your number of soldiers (same for crew in boats.)
160 * 6.25 = 1000

Written for ETW but works on Shogun 2 (although Yari Ashigaru always end up having slightly more than the numbers posted in the thread)
no "scripts" in my shogun 2 folder ... where is the preferences file???
Please read old posts about that.Search is usefull.
get the gfx_unitscale to 3 as well and the campaign_unit_multiplier to 6.25
Question, I don't have a "roaming" folder in my C:\Users\AppData so there's no "scripts" folder for either Shogun 2, Shogun 2 demo or Napoleon/Empire.
I had those before formatting but it seems that none of the games created those folders this time.
Anybody seen Richie? -Detective Gino Felino.
Most realistic would be to have the units vary from perhaps 100-150 men up to a few with 2000ish. This would simulate the varied distribution of wealth for fuedal lords, and the number of troops they are obligated to arm and bring to their daimyo's service. If this could be connected with perhaps veterancy and/or the possition of the lord in the daimyos houshold (generals) it would be cool. If titles could be tweaked to add titles for specific provinces and making the wealth/prosperity of that province add bonuses or negatives off of the skill which tracks how many men per unit such and such general recruits.

I don't think you would really want to play with a 1000 people per unit. The maps aren't even that big to able to make tactical decisions with that many guys.
Is possible but the game dont support this number, it make lag the game
If NTW can handle 1,000 Communist Patriotic Levies, then by golly Shogun 2 can as well!
