I just installed Medieval Total War, but it crashes every time I try to start a campaign. I would greatly appreciate to know where I can find the patches. This is just Medieval Total War, not VI.

No, do not install this patch...

If you have the old MTW v1.0 then the v2.01 patch will be of no use. If you do have the gold edition, then yes you can install the patch.

Regardless, I don't expect the patch to resolve anything, so post up some system specs...

I found patch 1.1 and installed it, but that did not fix the problem. The battle map runs smoothly, and I have tried adjusting my screen resolution several times, but still no luck.

IIRC you can try to use the program settings (look at the picture) for Medieval.exe in Nvidia's control panel. I actually played Medieval on a PC with an integrated video card and only have some CTD's but not many.
