Problems with AVI files
Ive been having trouble lately playing some AVI files with Windows Media Players. I think I have all the right codecs and everything I just cant figure out whats wrong. I used to be able to play them fine, but recently Ive been having trouble.
Windows Media Player will launch the file but it never begins to play and if you try to advance the time or pause, stop it or something the program just lock up and I have to close. I can still play mpg file though.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure if you got Divx, but you might want to get that instead. Plays pretty much everything.

Yeah, changing to Divx aint bad, its a good player. Just get the free one, but I'm sure you know that lol.

I suggest that you download K-Lite Codec pack and use the included Media player classic to play all your video files.

you only need DivX to play some AVI files, so don't bother making it your main player if you don't want to. I have DivX, WMP, and RealPlayer on my comp
That's Ffips backwards
Download AVI Codec, it will analyse movie files and tell you what is needed to play them, among other things, and provides a download link to the relevant codec in most cases
