    Default To add stability

For multicore users, I was browsing in some other forum part and noticed this

    It might help us!

Interesting. I'm running a fairly new quad-core and RTW crashes occasionally, but not too frequently. It's a bad habit after winning large battles, or after maximising the game on to either the battle or campaign screen. It hasn't become too much of an issue. If it does I'll follow that thread's advice. Thanks for it!

It worked like a charm, no more CTD. In addition, to my surprise running on just one core actually improved battle.

I agree. I managed to play several turns with loads of battles and no CTD.

Hello. I'm a big fan of SPQR mod. Is the best mod. Its large armies, huge and long battles...

But the problem for me, is the unavoidable after battle CTDs. Especialy after a long and sucesfull take of one of the Sicilians cities. When the battle ends, I get a painfull crash.
I tried to play one sole big battle between computer restarts, but this don't worked for me.

I have a Quad core and 4 Gb ram.

Now, I see the light! Its possible fix it...really...It works?

Then, must I set the .exe to low priority and the afinity to a one single core?
Both or only the first soluton?

    Any more usefull ideas?

    Thanks

Do what instructions said. Set affinity to a one single core and do NOT set the .exe to low priority. Leave priority alone. I tried to set priority to “high” but battle became slightly laggy.

Ok. One single core afinity. I will try it. I hope it can solve my problem.

    Thanks.

    Cheers,.

Single core. Also, it doesnt matter how many cores you got. As we mentioned million times here, RTW dun give a darn about multiple cores.

Still crashed seconds before a large battle ended.

This never happened so often with normal RTW.

No, full screen. Why, does this make it crash more?

I can't find the "open in window" selection. Could've sworn it was with the shortcut/start-up .exe.
