    Icon9 Northern European Towns

I want to get rid of those northern European towns. you know, the ones where you can use only one ram to attack, killing tactics. and you have to go all the way up to the town center. it takes so much time to march my troops around and time, I don't have much of. So anyway to get rid of them and revert them back to how they were before, flat?

you know the ones from Kingdoms, Teutonic Campaign. there is only one opening for a battering ram and the town center is on a hill.

I have been playing NE factions for a few months, never remember such town. Unless you mean the Minor Town (in which you can only use ram), but it's basically same for every single factions.

Lugiahua,it's East European towns get the really annoying village that's on a hill and is all spiral-y. Other than that, the villages of other cultures are pretty much similar. I do not know how to remove it, sorry.

I mean any settlement, regardless of size. I don't mean the sieges when you can only build ram. in regular small settlements you can use 4 rams to attack if you like but in these hill settlements, there is only one place on the walls where you can attack with a ram and it is the gate. I think it is the smaller ones that are built like that. it is so annoying when you can only have one point of entrance into the settlement and then you have to go around up to the town center.I remember reading somewhere in the forum about removing those settlement types, I just don't know where.the forum search does not help either.

I like it actually, before I can basically taken any small town 1:1 with minimal losses, now I actually might take some casualties
1180, an unprecedented period of peace and prosperity in East Asia, it's technology and wealth is the envy of the world. But soon conflict will engulf the entire region with great consequences and lasting effects for centuries to come, not just for this region, but the entire known world, when one man, one people, unites.....

I'm a huge fan as well. I only hope the other settlement types get a similar upgrade.

This is exactly why the SS development team, chose to include Hilltop villages, there is only one way to the plaza and if the defenders have adequate numbers you will have a true fight on your hands. Furthermore as a defender you can hold the enemy at the bottom of the hill and let your missile/artillery really hurt them

I understand the hilltop being easier to defend and harder to attack, which is ok. only If I could use more than one ram to attack the town

Have you explored the hilltop towns?

They have more than one entrance, you need to go to the edges of the initial deployment area and see if you can find another entrance further round if you want to use more than one ram.
Mind there's still only one way up to the central plaza once inside the settlement.

(Hopefully someone will be able to mod the design of the entrances - the big outside bank provides a useful platform for attackers to fire at defenders -
    not a very sensible design.)

Scotland had them aplenty when I blitzed them as England. Didn't help them much - I took the hills on both sides of the narrow pathway with archers. They fired from both sides and massacred the Scottish mobs that rushed out of the gates.
