don't you read the forums, the patch for dx is 2-4 weeks. wait for it. ca gave a very very clear timetable for it. I was actually surprise by it as they usually give very vague ones like "delay" "sometime in the future" when you read that = never coming out.

But not because the option is not in the game at all; it's because the autodetect system is broken and you can get DX10 by manually editing the preferences.
