    Default Small technical/graphical problem - help :)

OK, so I noticed strange thing during battles. I attached to screens so it's easly seen. The problem concerns displaying units. My units change texture/color/borderline (don't know how to call it exactly :>) depending on how far my camera is. Notice screen 1, some of the units have this yellowish borderline (I assume it's properly loaded unit texture). Then I move my camera closer and the units look normally, their texture loads properly.
It's quite annoying, 'cause as I move around battlefield it changes all the time. Any idea what's causing this? I'm running on Radeon 4890 with newest drivers but I saw this problem occuring in older TW games on different drivers, too. HELP!

That problem is easily identified, it has to do with the viewing distance.
This means that once you move the camera a certain distance away from your units, the game automatically decreases the detail on these units, in order to make it less taxing for your system to have many units onscreen at the same time i presume.
This actually happens in Medieval II and Empire/Napoleon as well, it seems to happen regardless of your game settings, though there is a way to turn this off via modding, it has been done in Stainless Steel as an optional modification for example, i couldnt tell you how since i am not that handy
