    Default Installing from disk

When my hard copy (ie DVD`s) comes and I install it should Steam be running during the install ,or should I disable Steam before putting in the game disks?

    Thanks

Just run the disk. It'll tell you what to do.

You need to register it with Steam in order to install it.

Have Steam running in the background. It makes no real difference - if you don't have Steam running you will need to start ot anyway.

I would leave steam running. I believe you will have to anyway. Not to mention, I can't see the harm in leaving Steam open when you install it, seeing as Steam is actually required for the game to work.

I would not install period until it is released in your timezone. Check with Steam it will show much longer you have to wait ... then when it says you are good to go, install and it doesn't matter if you are connected or not but you will need to be connected to start playing.

    Just put the DVD in.

Wow, I can't believe how anal and worried people get when a release draws near.

If, at any point the install requires you to have steam running, it will tell you.
