Default This mod isn't as realistic as RS2

the gauls are united into one tribe, so are the greek cities, the spartan troops are all promachoi and wear more armor than what was actually used at the time, the macedonians depict hypaspists ase swordsmen, the unit and building prices are extremely low, etc.

so why play this over rs2? just asking

No idea. Haven't played it in years myself.

I'm assuming you're playing RTR gold or platinum? Those mods have been around longer than way RSII, it's kinda unfair to compare old mods with new ones. If want to compare something try the different variations spawned from Gold/Platinum such as Extended Realism, The Iberian Conflict, and Fate of Empires. AqD's RTR is a bit old but it's also quite par.

RTRVII (still under development) beats RSII in every way when it comes to realism. And I say that with respect towards RSII, which aims at a different thing rather than realism.

Actually mate, RTR 6 isnt supported by the RTR VII team, not our product. As much as we love it, we it doesnt represent the current RTR line.

Try RTR VII: FOE, or TIC. Also, RTR VII is going to be very realistic, I think our History department basically oversees everything.

The RTR VII and RS2 teams work together, and we make this known to the public so that everyone will know that we work together, not against each other. I think you will find the same message on the RS2 side of things.

I think I'm gonna close this I've got nothing against RSII - RTR VII comparisons, but I feel that 6.0 is a bit old to be thrown into the mix

As always, if you disagree, please PM me or any other moderator
