So, I'm on the third day of playing SS...bought Medieval 2 Total War three days ago, but I played it before, so I knew what vanilla was like. Mostly actually got it, just to play this mod...Bought off Steam for 10 dollars (including the expansion)...best 10 dollars I've ever spent, and mostly due to this mod. Outside initial problems getting SS 6.4 to work with Steam (took quite a bit of time)...I'm having so much fun. I started out very hard/very hard, and it wasn't too bad. I'm trying out BGR IV this morning (with lusted AI, as I find it a bit more realistic to not have alliances breaking apart all the time., and I can progress at a more natural pace, not a big fan of zerging the map), and that submod adds tons of depth...kind of reminds me of Europa Universalis with BGR IV.

First day I played, I kept going after an hour.."Okay, one more turn and I'll take a break." 9 hours later, I realized I had played for 11 hours! I ended up going to sleep at around 2 am. And already I've spent 20 hours playing this mod...great deal for just 10 dollars...a lot of games that cost 50/60 have really short lifespans (usually the campaign/story is too short)

I started out as England, but I found it a bit easy. My dad's side of the family all lives in England, so naturally I went for them first. Tried various other factions, and landed on Venice and Crusader States as my favorite factions. Love both of them.

I've been playing SS for about 200+ hours now, so I just wanted to let you know that - I had to pay my respects!

Overall, I found out everything to be perfectly balanced, improved with every version.

I wish there was something I could do for you too! I think I know how much time the modders spent on this, and I really want to present my sincere thanks for all your time devoted to this.

I've been following the forums too, for quite a while, and I'm sure there's a thank you thread. But one more wouldn't be too much I guess.

I just wanted to remind you this: although the forums are mostly used for discussions (I'm sure that helps you improve) and sharing experiences (and that is really enjoyable), I believe there are many more people like me who just enjoy the mod and all the posts.

So never feel underappreciated for your work! There's a silent majority who have been just speechless.

Well perhaps it did take a few beers to confess, but I had to do it

Enough sucking up I guess! I need to socialize a bit, after spending this sunday with SS, again...

Wow, I just checked my first post in 2007, and it seems like I've been *consistently* playing SS for about 4 years now! Since the version 2.2

Yes, just felt the need to delurk briefly and add my congratulations and thanks to the modders and submodders who have done so much work here. This has been my favorite game/mod for the past four years. You have given me hundreds of hours of enjoyment. Thank you again!

HAHAHAHA...I feel sorry for whoever I choose to end up marrying Maggote. Just think, the Prince will say "I'm very lucky, I love my Maggote so much"

Don't make such threads if you want to express your gratitude towards the SS team then simply post something in the latest release thread instead of opening a new thread as they usually devolve into a spam fest.
