Default Increasing maximum turns in grand campaign.

Since right now, the limit is 240 turns.
I'm wondering is there possible to increase the # of turns per season, like let's say 3 turns a season, so it's 12 turns a year.

Of course, in change, all army / agent units would have only 50% of movement points to balance the turn # increase.

This would make the GC quite a bit longer if player chooses to do so (240 to 720 turns if my math is right).
Though if the turns per season is not possible, guess just increasing the ending date of the campaign is possible.

I think 2 turns for season it's better, 8 for year, unit movement decrease 30%.

    Or remove the timelimit completely.

correct me if im wrong but cant u just keep playing after the turn limit? Im sure this is what happened in rome(or was it medieval 2). I think only historical events(like making the wind work in med 2) stop happening after that.

Once again i might be completely wrong

Im fairly sure there is no time limit.. Well there is one, but it's way further than the limit for the victory conditions, if thats what you mean.

Yeah... The long campaign is bloody crazy, you have 240 turns to take 60 provinces. 1 province every 4 turns. Too crazy!

I don't even think reducing Movement speed is necessary. These are not large areas being covered for the era. If anything I'd say they move too slow for realism in the time needed.

So personally I'd just like to see a turn increase mod as well. I doubt it will affect the AI much, and it would definitely cater to players like me who aren't all about WAR WAR WAR and actually enjoy taking time to consolidate things.

I would also like to see a season per turns increase. It feels kind of gimmicky to have the seasons change with every turn. I'd like to see the time spent within a season increased to 2-4 turns. This alone could lengthen the game.

Is it possible to edit game to increase years playable by using a ESF Editor. I have used a ESF Editor in the past to extend the game but this does not seem possible in Shogun. The usual files in the data folder are just not there. Any help please.

How about an earlier stat date like 1467.

Can combine the Sengoku period and the Azuchi–Momoyama period. 1467 to 1603.
