Can't get RSII to work (Steam version) [FIXED]

I've read through many threads and I've yet to solve my installation troubles, forgive me if this question has been answered before.

I'm using Windows 7, Steam version, Rome: Gold Edition with the Alexander expansion.

1. All the RSII files (RS 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, and the installer) are all inside the same folder, I've extracted all the appropriate files.

2. I've moved this folder to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rome total war gold. That did not work so I ran the installer and installed to the same location, still it did not work.

3. I added the appropriate line to the launch options in Steam (I'm trying to play the Roman Campaign) and still it did not work, saying "This game is currently unavailable". Running the game through the launcher gives me the same error.

Any ideas on what I could've done wrong.

EDIT: Now I've gotten as far as the loading screen, but I got the error that's in the know issues thread (Script Error in data/descr_skeleton.txt, at line 56, colum 133.
AnimDB: Could not load - 'data/animations/SG 01 idle 01.cas'). Trying to reinstall but not having any success.

It may be corrupted, and you have to redownload.
You can try, however, to run the launcher as an administrator, this could be a security issue, that happens in win7

Thank you for the reply.

I haven't tried re-downloading, I may do that. I know it's not a UAC issue since I'm the only user and I have admin privileges.
