Default Should i buy 30g Ipod video?

i'm planning on buying it but the price seems to low to me espicially being apple where they sell things for a lot of money. In many store they cost $300 dollars, the only doubt i have is that when mp3's or anything that has to do with tecnology get their prices lower it means that something better is coming so should I wait or buy it. The last thing I want is that in 3 month the 60g cost the same any suggestions or info regarding ipod realeases would be of great help. thanks!

pfft 30gb, who on earth needs that much its just setting yourself up for a fall when you lose it/damage it/something else, and the whole video thing is a bit gimicky - others may feel differently of course but i'd never use it for videos, and it would drain the battery hellava fast anyway. Personaly i'm content with my 2gb Nano, which also looks much cooler anyway..

Doesnt really answer what you asked i guess but hey..

30gb is a good size. i have the 20gb sony hard drive mp3 player (i dont know what theyre called) and theyre actually alot better than ipods by a long shot. but if its video you're after, then i guess you dont have many choices.

As for the 60gb costing the same in a few months.....welcome to technology, everything becomes obsolete in a few months, its upto to buy what you want and not just buy something because its the best and most expensive.
30gb is plenty in my opinion.

ipod 4g nano $250, ipod 30g video $300 how come people are telling me to go with nano when its only $50 difference and 30g beats nano with more memory and video playback.
Agreed pompey 30g is plenty and its not so thick as the 60g or zen micro vision:m so yeah im going for the 30g even if 60g has its price lowered it would still be thicker than the 30g.

On Newegg.com they have something better than the i!pods, better sound quality, supports any music format, it also supports any Video format. It is 30GB, and has 35 HOURS of battery life.

    For only $305 USD.

The only reason to get the bigger iPod is the longer battery capacity. I've got a white 30GB and the battery lasts like 2 hrs when watching videos!

Indeed, mine does too. And is anyone having trouble with the latest patches for the Ipod and Itunes? I do, one of my audiobooks I cant scroll in cause it just lock up and when I have Itunes on whilst playing a game the sound is totally screwed up.

I have an old school ipod mini 4gig, it works perfectly and is a tough little B, they are made of solid pieces of aluminum. No pictures, no video, but works fine for me. And ipods have great interfaces, very easy to use.

Nope, the iPod and iTunes work on both PC and Mac.

What do you guys think about the ability to buy new games for your iPods?

I was thinking on buying a Texas Hold'Em game, but it costed 10€! So I didn't buy it
