    Default Textures for EB

After going through the game directory of EB, I've noticed something odd. When looking through the descr_model_unit, I wanted to use one of the legionary textures and put it in SPQR, since I've played EB and loved the unit textures they have. I went perusing into the models_units and to my surprise, found none of the accompanying .cas or .dds files that were in the descr_model_battle. It made me wonder: How is the mod able to run without a direct path to the textures? Since most mods require the direct path approach in order for the game to run properly, I did some searching and thought I had found what I was looking for in the "packs" folder. Just to make sure, I went through SPQR and was discouraged to find that it too had the same types of files. Right now, I'm at a loss.

Did the developers of EB specifically design the mod so no one else could use their textures or is it simply an anomaly?

The textures are in the .pka files in the pack folder. EB packed them.

Well, that's what I figured when I looked in the pack folder, when trying to use the xpak extractor, it extracted all of the vanilla files, but none from EB. Is there another, more up-to-date .pak extractor that could possibly help?

Or could I copy and paste it from the EB pack folder into SPQR's, and edit the SPQR descr_model_battle with the units I'd like to use?

    patch_1.pak

First right click on xpak ms dos batch file and click on edit
it should pop up in a notebook
then in line one insert the above content
then in line two insert the above content
    save and exit
    then run xpak again

Thats what I did to get all the eb models and textures for my personal mod

Remember that mods of a non-personal nature need approval from the skinners, modelers, and EB team to use this content.
