Re: Launcher With Steam Version?
It should work fine, it was built to accomidate steam users, and all the graphics options are changeable on the launcher.

Re: Launcher With Steam Version?
Nothing happens, period.
I know the music is supposed to crescendo and then the game launch, but neither of those occur.

Re: Launcher With Steam Version?
Are you running as administrator? And which Operating System do you use?
And what is the install path of RS2?

Re: Launcher With Steam Version?
Yes I am running as administrator, on Windows 7.
My install path is E:\Steam\steamapps\common\rome total war gold
I copy/pasted/overridden the proper files in the RTWG folder. In addition, I made sure the desktop shortcut was pointing to the launcher in the above directory.

Re: Launcher With Steam Version?
Hmm... seems as though my launcher cannot find Steam.
When I open the .bat file, my error was "Application failed to find Steam."
Odd?

Re: Launcher With Steam Version?
Hmm.. The launcher works by opening up your registry and looking at the installation path. Is E:/steam where you installed it? Or did you copy it over?

Re: Launcher With Steam Version?
E:/Steam is where RTWG is installed, but following the installation instructions I installed RSII to a separate folder, and copied the contents over.

Re: Launcher With Steam Version?
Ok, can you right click on the bat file, then click edit (or open in notepad, either way) then paste the contents into here?

Re: Launcher With Steam Version?
Hey Hellhound, sorry for the delayed response, I had to go to work!
So anyways, I gave a clean install a new try, and I didn't apply the 2.1a patch, and the launcher works fine. So I am guessing I must have installed the patch incorrectly somehow. I'll have to give it another try later on, but thanks for all your help regardless!
