How closely do the DLV-Kingdoms campaigns follow the Deus Lo Volt v6.2 handbook?

Specific to Teutonic Knights campaign:
- Do young generals follow the same education steps?
- Do new Doctors Philosophiae need to move next to a "teacher" in order to improve?
- Does the advice to focus on increasing your treasury first before campaigning still hold true?
- Do the same settlement development paths still apply?

DLV-Teutonic is my first DLV gaming experience. I'm very impressed with what I've seen so far. I want to make sure I correctly understand how the overall DLV features and functions work in this campaign. I appreciate whatever advice others might have. Thanks in advance for everyone's time and help.
