Battle load screen crash M11x

Hi guys,

so like it says in the title bar, i go to play a tactical battle and the loading bar freezes at about 10% the CTD. i can load campaigns on the strat map fine, no other issues. i can also play the shogun 2 demo without dramas.

my system is a brand new alienware m11x, drivers fully updated.
-core i7 processer @ 1.2(?) ghz
-nvidia geforce 335m gt graphics card
-8Gb ram
-win 7

any help would really be appreciated. i've tried running the game under different compatibility modes with no luck. no mods installed or anything. terribly frustrating :/

Do you have any mods installed?

Have you tried verifying your game cache?

yep, i've tried verifying my cache, and i'm running clean, no mods. it's got me completely flummoxed

Have you tried 1024 x 768 and no eyecandy?

native resolution is only 1366x768 and i've tried min settings, still nothing. the weird part is it will still load and display the campaign map fine, even on max settings.

I had this issue before. Try a clean installation of the last nvidia drivers.

just tried a clean install of the latest drivers, still having the same crash every time.

just tried MSI Afterburner with no luck. i think i'll just give up :/
