    Default Access Denied

Ok so Hi everyone, it would be rally nice if someone could help me, because I just don't have any idea what is broken. All started last night, I was playing BC 2.02 for few hours and then I clicked to fight battle by myself not auto. The screen went dark, and I couldn't do anything, not only in game but with computer in general, so i restarted it. Then after clicking bc shortcut I had a message "Acess denied" and advise to log in as admin. I tried to open game with "open as admin" but there was this black window for second (dos) and then it dissappered. When I was opening game (exactly trying ) normally I had always this message "access denied". So I thought that it is some fatal crash and I start to reinstall mod and medieval, but after reinstallation it was all the same. I had downloaded register cleaner to make it all obvious (that everything is deleted) and it was. After fighting few more times with installing and trying to open game. I made experiment with pure(clean or vanilla whatever it is called in english) Med 2 on version 1.00. It was the same :/. after patching to 1.2 or 1.3 also. Before you ask, I can install the game with the mod, so I have done everything properly. I also checked folders, I have in theory the full access to the whole folder, Im the owner of the folder, I dismarked the "only read" option in properties.

So everything should be good, but it isn't :/
By now, Clean Med 2 is not working, BC 2.0 and BC 2.02 too and any other mods which I had tried. I am thinking wheter it is possible that Win 7 blocked med2.exe because of crash? but after reinstalling shouldn't everything be allright? Ah and LockHunter didn't show me anything which is blocking Med2 :/(and as i remember this program is checking the system "blockers").

    Thx for any help.

Where have you the game installed? In Program Files? If so, then install it into different location.

Neither the mod, nor M2TW do this; at least I haven't heard about such things... If it's a matter of location, then it's simple to fix...

C:\Pliki programów (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War

Standard way of installing in Win 7. I also tried in different paths. I'm guessing reinstall of the system will be only solution, because I can't find any other idea. But thx anyway

    Maybe this will help?

It is very likely that your 7 blocked the game. This can happen in Vista as well, and can happen for unknown to me reasons. E.g. some time ago my Vista blocked some features of Notepad++ application after few months of normal using. I had to move the application outside Program Files - this is the only case when I had to move non-game application outside Program Files and I have no idea why it was blocked all of the sudden.

That is why it is recommended to install games outside Program Files directory. If you move it to a different location you will have no problems.
