What Version of RTW?
I've checked a number of threads, and maybe I'm skimming over it or something, but I can't find what version of RTW is required for EB. I'm not particularly looking forward to reinstalling RTW entirely, but pretty much no mods support 1.5/6 because of the building restrictions. Does EB require 1.3?

1.2 currently. We are looking into 1.5 at the moment.
What 'building restrictions'? (<- has never played any RTW version after 1.2)
Apparently they're preventing putting any new buildings into the game. I haven't found the details of the restrictions, but it's giving Chivalry some hell and it's why Zhanguo didn't switch to the new patch.

Does anyone have a download link? Totalwar.com only goes back to 1.3 and TWcenter is only hosting 1.1. Totalwar.org doesn't even host patches.

Official (Installer) patch from Activision
If you have trouble installing that, use the Manual Install Patch, links for which can be found on the EB download page.

We have had no explanation of this problem. It would be nice if someone pointed us to some sort of summary of the issues involved. I work with the buildings a lot, but I've had no opportunity yet to try out 1.5 because of the other work in EB I'm doing still.

I just got the RTW Gold Edition since my other discs are scratched. It automatically upgrades RTW to 1.5
Is there anything I can download that will degrade 1.5 to 1.2?

i really don't think there is anyway to just simply "roll-back" , i assume you've tried just installing the 1.2 patch over 1.5?
