Minor AI Problems

Is it possible to get the AI to not declare war on me when i'm CS and the ai declares war on me and blockades my ports when they are france or poland? I highly doubt i'll ever have a land conflict or even get near their territory.

You could just not bother to fight them. Just because you are at war with someone doesnt mean you have to fight them.

Ally with them. Its very rare AI will blockade its allies ports from nowhere. Marriage alliance is best. Then fighting saracens the Pope's favor for you and your allies both will rise making Crusades to Paris or Frankfurt less likely.

Tho, to be fair, I have NEVER had a marriage alliance with france last more than about 10 turns.
Not as the english, not as the scots, not as the HRE, nor spain, nor portugul.
Now, i just refuse to ally witht he french, cause it just means they will attack.
Have much better luck treating with them for trade rights, and long term tribute at a low level. (even 20 years of trib at 10 florins.)

in my genoa campaign me and france currently have a 3 marriage strong alliance going on 90 turns...that i had to break because of a crusade and my vassal declared on them and i wanted the vassal money too much. so....maybe your world rep is just low or something.

Im using it and the AI is behaving a lot better. Dont have as much infighting between the same religions. Makes for a much more realistic experience.

Highly recommended.

Actually all SS campaign AIs are based on Lusted's work.
