Idea of Spanish Civil War

Hello,i read that you think create a minimod of spanish civil war,is right?(please hehe)

If is right,i can help you with history,characters,armys(spanish legion for example),etc.But no modding,i dont know hehe.

Minimod? I wanted it to be a part of TGW. Combat seemed very similar and it provides a use for that campaign map... though of course that is far off

I don't believe MANY tanks were used in the SCW. ALL factions of the region should be playable, I have a faily extensive knowledge of this war, so again Sama, talk to me if you wanna know stuff. By the way, Franco and the Fascists sounds like a good band name

You are wrong,didnt say Franco and Fascists.The "rebels"(Franco)didnt was a hit militar fascist,not exist the legality republican.Exist the comunist government that amenace with destroy the liberty and people(comunism).A comunist revolution,that Stalin rest it.In words of politician of catholic right Jose María Gil Robles: A considerable mass of opinion, which is at least the half of the Nation, does not resign itself to dying implacably: I assure it you. Half A Nation does not resign itself to dying.

Democracy not exists in 2 republic,exists a new dictatorial comunist State with an revolution that was kill many many people. Franco was the liberator of Spain.

Freedom of speech did not exit under Frente Popular rule, only repression and attrocities...

Under the rule of this bunch of genocides, Spain was in its way to become a comunist state under URSS influence...

I think the peninsular campaign map is quite appropriate for the mod

designate national-republican areas in the vanilla map is already complicated
One solution would be national armies shown on the map each turn as rebels during the war

Ok i was thinking you wanted the SCW to be going on during the ww1 campaign, which would have been cool if it happened during ww1, but not as a separate mod. So yeah that would be cool to use the peninsula campaign to make another sub mod

Personally, I think despite the somewhat late date, it fits quite well into TGW, because the combat and equipment was largely similar to ww1, and gives a good use for the Peninsular Campaign. Of course, if I'm alone on the team that thinks its a good main mod addition, then that won't work.

The "Communists"(Historically known as the Republic Forces) as you are calling them were a conglomerate of forces, and had little to no ties with the USSR, as the 4th Internationalist were the Communists fighting alongside. The 4th International had long opposed the USSR claiming it was nothing more then a degenerated workers state, incapable of leading the proletariat. The founder of the 4th International, Leon Trotsky, was Vladimir Lenin's original Heir to the USSR before he was ousted by Stalin. Trotsky was a staunch supporter of Democracy as were the member of the 4th International. The USSR's volunteer forces joined with little to no actual aid and in essence weren't a factor.Under the Franco dictatorship 500,000 individuals were killed within the first year after the war, with many labor rights suspended and repressive rule for any political opposition party. As for Democracy, Under Franco's rule the country was a Single State Party which then became an Absolute Monarchy. It wasn't until the then King pushed for light reform to become a Constitutional Monarchy with a Parliament that any form of Democracy existed.

I will watch in Napoleon: Total War Mod Workshop to find tutorials and tools and I'll work on some uniforms of the Spanish Civil War
