    Default Agent possibilities

Before anyone says... I've spent two days looking around but I can't find anything definitive. So I thought it would be useful in general if there was a collection point for what if anything is moddable with agents.

We know there are some hardcoded limitations -for instance with recruitment of heretics, witches and inquisitors. We know we can alter the ages/remove certain agents.

Personally I'm interested in how to bend the rules with agent abilities. The agent types are pretty strict, but we can change the appearance of agents, am I right in thinking that some aspects such as line of sight and diplomatic ability as well as gaining income by a character (including generals) occupying a resource ---?

I seem to recall a 'chancellor' type agent that was developed which basically had traits that recorded certain aspects of the campaign.

The abilities are hard coded to the name of the agent - nothing to be done there.

Chancellor agent: you could spawn a non recruitable agent that acquires traits according to events. No problem there.

    cheers man

But I'm pretty sure even a general can earn income if occupying a trade resource, technically since the x,y can be identified. Also LOS is trait based, and passive diplomacy can also be dished out to other agents. So that's something to start with- but does it end there?

    Anything is possible with "I_CharacterTypeNearTile"
    Specify 'passive diplomacy"

    I've got a few agent-related questions.

    1. Is it possible to mod a playable faction to recruit heretics or witches?

    2. Is it possible to mod assassins to be able to kill people from their own faction?

    1. never tried - perhaps (you will have to do some modding with descr_model_strat as well, not just EDB)
    2. No

Wonder if there's anyone who has any experience with modifying agents who can chime in on this.

I don't think I've got the proper programs to tweak the character models, but priests and heretics (or witches, for that matter) don't actually overlap as agents restricted to specific factions, do they?

You don't have to tweak the models (CAS files). Simply add them to the EDB recruitment slots like other agents and define them in descr_model_strat for their factions - both files are TXT files which you can easily modify with Notepad.

Oh, okay. In that case I'll have to give that a shot and see what the results are.
