    Default Crash on campaign map

    Hello everyone!

    I am sorry if this has been asked before, but whenever I go to play the "Campaigns of the Coalition", the game just crashed to restart.
    Battles run fine and my specs are:
    2.8 processor.
    2GB RAM.
    ATI Radeon 4600HD series with 1.7GB of graphics memory.

    As I said , the battles run absolutely fine but whenever I go to campaign map - crash.

    I have no problem playing the Napoleon's campaigns, but I don't wanna play as French that much...

    I had a similar problem with RTW. I just uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it worked fine. There might be a patch that could help also but I don't know where that would be. You might also just want to make sure you are running it as an admin.

    I am running it as an admin and I also reinstalled it. After the reinstall, it didn't crash at start of campaign, but it just turned my screen black on the 10th turn and I had to restart.

    Are you sure that it is the same problem? The screen turning black and a CTD seem like they may be different problems.

    So if I play without Steam it wont crash?
    I don't think that would be the problem. You could try it without steam but I doubt it would help.

    Did Campaigns of Coalition always not work or did it stop working at some point?

    mate i got same problem got 2 gigs g card, core duo 2.6 processor, 2 gigs ram. i played on my laptop games that got higher requirements and didnt hav eproblem. however there is one thing that i hate about this game is STEAM. fmy first game with steam and i hate it. What happened with just bying cd?! or dvd?!

    They stop working when I move on the map. Sometimes it throws a black screen and after a while shows the loading picture and just goes on, but then crashes. Sometimes just crashes.

    What do you have against Vista SP2?
    What sound drivers do you have besides generic Microsoft?
    Have you updated your motherboard chipset drivers?
    Have you tried installing directx 9.0c and C++ 2005 SP1 manually with the UAC disabled?

    Okay, I installed SP2 and it still crashes.
    As for the sound systems, I think I have the generic Microsoft and I've tried reinstalling directx 9.0c. And motherboard should be updated too as far as I know.

    After the shop missed SP2, you may want to do the motherboard chipset drivers yourself if for no more than peace of mind.

    Install directx 9.0c with the UAC disabled for best results.
