    Default Oblivion system requirements released!

For all you that are waiting for Oblivion the system requirements have been released and they look real nasty.
    Minimum:

    Windows XP
    512MB System RAM
2 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
    128MB Direct3D compatible video card
    and DirectX 9.0 compatible driver;
    8x DVD-ROM drive
4.6 GB free hard disk space
    DirectX 9.0c (included)
    DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card
    Keyboard, Mouse

    Recommended:
3 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
    1 GB System RAM
ATI X800 series, NVIDIA GeForce 6800 series, or higher video card

That wont be a problem for me with my new super gaming machine but what about older computers?

Btw (as i love to brag) my pc is 3.6 ghz with 2k RAM. and a really nasty video card

And about the release date, here in sweden it is set in 24st March. It must be the first time something is released sooner here than in the UK.

My PC might struggle, but it doesn't really matter, I tried dynasty warriors 4 on PC without the recommended specs and it still worked fine, well except you can see some slowness when there are too many soldiers killing you, but it is not bothering. With oblivion those high resolutions detailed landscape really kill it, but I'm not put of by it.

Oh great just check the date, it being out in the UK 31st March and America 20th March, by the way howcome in America its a DVD disk, while in the UK its a CD disk, what's the difference

That must be a typo Bethesda has stated that the game will ship on DVD only.

I have the exact same feeling.

I think "minimum req" means: the game wil be playable, but no eye candy AT ALL.

Still, I think it wil be a fun game to play, even if you don't get anywhere near what you see on the screenshots.

I have the reccomended stats, except my ghz is an AMD so its better (or not).
And the game is DVD only.

If it doesnt run good enough I may have to fork out for another gig of ram and another 6800GT...probaly not though.
