Can Rome Be Played One Handed?

The question seems strange but i would like to know as i broke my right arm and will be in a cast covering my hand and arm for 6 weeks. I have a small hard drive and lots of games. Installed atm is BF2, CoD2 and BiA2. All FPS games that require one hand on the mouse and one hand on the WASD keys.

Would i be able to play Rome using just my left hand on the mouse? If i can then i'll uninstall those games and put in rome, if its quite impossible then i wont bother.

Sure you can - most of the game is based on using the mouse. If you can use any of your fingers at all it might be useful, because on the battlefield you need to use hotkeys. You can probably survive without them, tho... I would say just autoresolve a little more than usual.

It's not easy, but yes you can play with one hand. In battles you probably need to use lots of pause button, because you need to use keyboard sometimes.

even on the battle field most movement and commands can be handeled with just a mouse. might be a little hecktic though.

true true true... not imposible, not easy in the time of battle, but using pause might help a lot.

I would advise you to spend your time infront of the TV instead. But yes, R:TW can be played with one hand, altough not so smooth I'm afraid.

If you use the pause button often, playing with one hand shouldn't be any harder than playing with too. You can still use the fingers of the broken arm cant you?

It shouldnt be too hard, atleast in the campaign map, but i think that the battle map might be very problematic.
Just auto-calc and you should be fine.

Hahaha! But anyway, it's not convient to play with one hand. So I suggest you go to play WarCraft 3.

Try it, just for the chance to say you single-handedlu conquered the world. Or you conquered it with one hand tied behind your back! Either way, it will be skillful.

Yes, It is very possible - I know as i did it for 6 weeks :laughing:
got drunk, punched a window, crippled my right hand etc etc.

So I couldnt play HL2 or FarCry or Doom3 for a while, out comes the RTW Cds. I actually got quite good left handed and trying to use my right hand again when it was better was....strange - I wanted to play cack-handed still.

So yeah, it is very possible, as you only need the mouse. Good Luck mon amis
