    Default Campaign map sluggish speed

    What's the problem here? I understand that turn speeds are slow (extremely slow) but movement on the campaign map is extremely slow as well. As in, units on the campaign map are ordered to move, and they don't actually move, but just clip towards their destination. What is this? Why is it doing this?

    I tried adjusting the campaign map speeds in the CFG but there was no difference at all.

    Its nothing bad mate. Sure it doesn't look good but it is nothing on your end.

    Last i knew or understood there is no real answer for this.

    This is strange, I don't experience anything like this...

    Is anyone else experiencing this?

    I do. But i have learned too accept it more or less.

    More like too lazy too fix it my self .

    Fraps indicates that the framerate when they walk slowly is steady at about 22-30 FPS, but when speeded up, it drops to the single digits.

    yup happens too me too. we have the same problem.

    I'll have to look into this....it must be skipping frames to speed it up?

    I'm not sure, this doesn't happen to me. The characters just glide along nicely for me.

    I wonder if it has to do with the graphics card/drivers?

    Does it only happen with this mod?

    Out of curiosity, do you play with campaign shadows on or off?

    Half a month later...


    Yes, I play with campaign shadows on. I'mma try now without.


    There's no change. It still moves slowly with campaign shadows off.

    This is frustrating. The turn-time shift isn't horrifying, but it disjoints each turn and makes it difficult to maintain a nation. Worse, this sluggish movement on the campaign map is almost gamebreaking for me, and made even worse that it's a mystery problem that can't be replicated or explained, and it only occurs on this mod.

    And why are cavalry so insignificantly tiny in number?


    And what's the deal with the economics? All my cities report positive income, and I do have a huge army, but I'm going rapidly into debt, and the End Turn screen isn't giving me any details other than "Income: 100 Expenditure: 9001" and my basically having to cheat just to keep afloat, as even taking a city does very little to ease the economic burden


    And why are traits not showing up on a character's trait list? I got a general that is Afflicted with Scurvy, but it doesn't appear on their list, but the effects still occur.

    Are you following the AI moves?

    I think I have an idea that may help wi thtis, but I need to do some testing first
