[Poll] Should Diplomacy include the ability to exchange regions as in ETW and NTW?

As we all know by now, CA has removed the ability to trade, exchange, and/or gift regions via diplomacy.

What does this mean?

No more bargaining for provinces.

No more giving provinces to your allies.

No more creating buffer states between yourself and your enemies.

No more propping up allies by giving them territory.

Is this a good idea?

On the plus side, CA gave you the ability to sell off your Clan's children!

No one is forcing you to buy the game, nor visit this site, so get over yourself.

So, you're happy with features being taken out and the game made even more simple??

People are going to complain when features they like are taken out of the series. There was no need to remove this feature from the game, it fits the period and I can provide several examples of it happening. The designer in charge of diplomacy really needs evaluate what they are doing to diplomacy because they are really screwing it up.

Since Shogun, I have given CA hundreds of dollars in game and dlc sales. This is not how paying customers are to be treated.

I modded for Fallout 3, the community had its fair share of complaints, from none respawning interiors to disappearing NPCs, and we were never told by the devs to 'get over it,' or 'dont buy.' The Bethesda representatives were resepctful, and certainly never pranked our threads.

So true! What's the bet CA (or more likely, bloody Sega) are preparing for console releases in the future, so they have to dumb everything down!!

TBH, no matter what they do, I doubt they'll ever be able to satisfy everyone.

The diplomatic negotiation i miss most is an option to demand 'make peace with specific faction and/or.......'.

Since honor in Japan played an important role, i think maybe the removal of that ability is a good choice.

The option to sell Damyos daughter is a good addition

This. I've found that after M2TW, the regions are too important to just trade away. They contribute too much to the economy to be traded for some stupid agreement that will be broken anyway as soon as your weak and your allies can backstab you.

i find them useful to give me a foothold somewhere like if I'm gb i can get a place near Russia and have a presence there as well. There's no reason not to include it. allie dont backstab in ntw but they will more in stw2, since that's basically the name of the game.

Well yes. Since this game is all about ONE country I doubt it's realistic to have clans trading regions with each other. It's not like they could just comfort themselves by taking some colony somewhere.
