His Profile

His para(of which he was rather unsure of what to write):
As far as I can understand the Civitates formally agrees to be a good citizen of this community and gains as a result some privileges with respect to governance.
I have been a posting member of this community for about 16 months and to my memory (which I’m rather confident in at his time, it being some 10 years since I have experienced any college era days or nights that I cannot in all honestly account for…) have not been in trouble with “the man”. I will however, if granted the privilege of Civitates try to not just avoid censure, but try to comport myself as a model citizen.
With respect to community governance, I honestly cannot think of any decision that has (or would have) caused me reason for objection, nor do I have in my heart any burning list of petitions or desire for tin-pot dictatorship with which to pester (the no doubt overworked and un-appreciated) people who moderate and maintain the TWC. In other words I doubt I would be tempted to abuse the potential right to overturn or appeal decisions of the TWC community hierarchy. I am satisfied with the state of the TWC and have no desire to abuse or overuse any rights I might gain as a Civitates.
Dromikaites, you asked to know a little about me:
I am 35, a classical history student, turned economist (I actually have my name on a publication), turned systems administrator, turned perl/bio-statistical programmer/SNP selection expert (the last being as far as I can tell a ‘we are not going to give you a raise but here is a new title that sounds nice’ kind of nice thing…). I am married and have two kids 4 and 2 and three cats. I am generally interested in History as a hobby and Classical Athens and the Dutch Republic (circa 16th/17th century) in particular, and obviously computer strategy games with a historical perspective, and ice hockey (Go Red Wings!). I grew up in Ann Arbor Michigan but now reside in Houston Texas (and find that I miss a real winter dearly). I received a BA in Economics from Eastern Michigan University, and completed the course work for a MA in Economics from Iowa State University, but failed to submit a thesis (I dropped out). I also spent 2 years in the computer science/engineering program at ISU.
Have a nice weekend

I will vote later after I have time to review him. He is a Red Wings fan though, that might make me a yes right there.![]()
