Default The campaign unit multiplier is back

I'd just like to mention this for the sake of completeness.
Since Shogun 2's preferences file is almost the same as the one of Empire and Napoleon (which is not surprising due to the same engine being used), the campaing_unit_multiplier option is once again present and seems to work just the same way as described in my olden Guide To Mass Recruitment -- just replace the "Empire" in the path with "Shogun2". Only this time CA has added the naval_fleet_multiplier that most probably works the same way, just for fleets (duh!).

Of course, you won't be able to see their effects in the demo, since the tutorial battles work like historical battles, which have their men-per-unit numbers defined elsewhere. But the numbers can be seen on the unit cards on the campaign map. I would've liked to insert a pic here, but Shogun 2 seems to intercept keyboard input, so I couldn't take a screenshot of those numbers using Fraps.

Note: The numbers for the multipliers that do not work may be different from the ones listed in the guide.

Any chance this can be adjusted to only multiply units for the player, instead of for the PC also?

I was pumped when my troops doubled but then saw that the PC troops also doubled and thoroughly trounced me in realm divide.

    Bummer.

I'm sorry, Gatorreefer, it's a configuration option, not a cheat.

This bothered me as well, so I decided to experiment with the campaing_unit_multiplier setting in user.script.

If you want the "vanilla" unit size, both for initial units as well as newly recruited units, you should do the following:
    - from the DMS launcher, press the "Default 1x" button
    - edit your user.script
    - set the campaing_unit_multiplier=0.8 for "normal" huge unit size
    - set the campaing_unit_multiplier=0.7 for "normal" large unit size

Anyhow, you can set the campaing_unit_multiplier to whatever you want, but this did it for me. I play with 0.7, easier to see the action that way.

Hope this is helpful for some.
