    Default Help!

Not sure if this goes here but whatever.

My faction leader is 43, his wife is infertile, and he has no children whatsoever, and I really don't want the komnenian line to end, so how would I go about editing his traits (read: What commands should I use in the console?) so that he actually produces an heir?

I'm playing as the Romans (the real ones, not the german ones!) by the way.

    WifeIsRipe 3

I got a Kievan princess for one of my guys and then he got the Wife Is Infertile trait, even though she didn't have it when I checked her out before the marriage. I thought I was screwed, but after a while she produced 4 kids.

    Also HaleAndHearty should help.

Try to conquer more regions, children spawn more if you have more regions.

I have 27 regions. . .. I blame this crap on the 10+ women sitting in the other branch of the family (not listed in the family tree) that have no husbands and refuse to die >.<

and the WifeIsRipe 3 trait isn't working, it says that the trait is not in the database or something.

Edit: K so it was WifeIsFertile 3 not WifeIsRipe 3.

Wait nevermind, he still isn't having kids yet even though its been 5 turns since i gave him the prolific trait and gave his wife the ripe trait, and his wife is 70, god if she dies im gonna be soooo pissed >.<

is there any way to force him to have kids?

If she's 70 yo, its obvious they can't produce any kids.
Max. age for conception is 50 yo IIRC.
Well, you can change this value editing the file descr_campaign_db.xml, family tree section.

Why did you marry him to someone 20 years older?

Well he was young and he was kinda young and she did have "The Affectionate" title, so i figured he would be able to have at least one if not more kids by the time she died, but sadly I didn't realize she was infertile till around 20 turns later, and by that time I had done to much to go back and redo everything, so I hoped he would at least get one kid to continue the line, but so far I am pretty screwed.

So again, is there any way to force him to have children? Is there something I could edit to make it a 100% chance to at least get one kid?

please help, he is the only existing family member, aside from the hidden women in the other family tree, and there are only like 10 of those, and there are no generals in my entire empire (30 settlements), and he STILL wont have ANY kids at all q.q

Understandable, I had that happen to me in my Early Era campaign. Also no need to say what Roman Empire you're referring to; most SS users know what your talking bout. And as to your problem, just blitz. Conquer settlements until your emperor and his wife get busy.

Isn't it possible to edit the age of your king via the console ?

Would editing the conception age be save-game compatible?

    Yes.

NOTE: If you edit the file having the game working in the background, you need to re-start the game to activate the changes.
