Cavalry Not Attacking in Siege

I have noticed a problem in my current Novgorod campaign, calvary seem to be unable to charge into Yaroslavl once the gate or walls are broken. Even infantry seems to be reluctant to use the gates though they do send troops in. I am still not sure if it is city related or specific to Yaroslavl but it happens every time. I am currently in an extended campaign against the mongols and this city is my frontier. I do not have this problem with any of my fortresses or citadels.

Interesting, please upload a savegame made before such battle if it's possible... or update battle AI and see if it happens again.
