I just got two missions from the Pope:
1. Cease hostilities with Scotland. Any further action taken against them will result in decreased reputation with the Pope.
2. Blockade Edinburgh
Uhhhh...

Yeah, these "block x port" mission seems bugged. When i was playing some catholic factions pope missions always seems illogical and stupid.
Pope will only normally ask for a blockade if he's at war with a faction.
(might be an idea to comment out that particular Pope mission in descr_missions?)
He's just testing your faith.
maybe the council of nobles gave the mission instead of the pope?
all the years I've been playing this game, I have not had one instance where Pope messed up like that. I'm lucky I guess.
Or when the Pope tells you to blockade a port on the other side of the world for 3 turns.
Wow how evil can the Pope get in the game?
The pope should give a mission - blockade Rome's port or get excommunicated.
I've been on Crusade to Venice before and just as arrived and laid siege the faction was reconciled and the Pope ordered a cease in hostilities...
I think the only way it can happen is if the Crusaded FL and Pope die on the same turn.
Ho yeah, i so imagine the pope in a black leather fetish boutfit.
"Go blockade that port, slave !"
The pope is playing with y'all, divide and conquer. Always keep them guessing.
i dont know if is possible ,but why not make papal states be in permanent peace with rebels... then the buggy missions are over.
